Sunshine and I each have an SIC insulated water bottle, and we love them! They keep your water cold even on sweltering days, and the integrated carabiner in the loop means you can easily clip your water bottle to your bag. We have the Seriously Ice Cold 27 oz insulated water bottle, but they come in several colors and sizes and there are insulated cup options as well.
Last year when we went hiking for #OptOutside, we realized we should have worn our YakTrax for better traction on the icy trail. Unfortunately, they were sitting at home, in our camping closet. Oops. This winter, we’re just keeping our YakTrax traction cleats in our car.
Snuggly hats with ear flaps are the best! We love them for keeping kiddos warm, and we find that the flaps make it easier to keep those hats on little heads. There’s many styles and colors out there, but this Jan & Jul fleece-lined ear-flap beanie is super cute.
We bought these mittens for the boys a couple years ago, and they’re awesome! Not only have they lasted more than a week without falling off and getting lost, we’re actually starting our third winter with them wearing the same pair! We love that Veyo Mittyz  are long enough to cover coat sleeves, have a wrist buckle to keep them in place, come in a variety of super cute colors and patterns girls and boys alike will enjoy, and are durable.

If you’ll be outside for an extended period of time, these little hand warmers can keep hands warm and spirits up. This box of 40 pairs of hand warmers will keep your family warm through a variety of outdoor adventures.
Our older son has had a Therm lined rain jacket for about a year now. When I bought it, I didn’t realize it was lined, I was just looking for a rain jacket for him. He loves the warm fuzzy lining and it’s the perfect jacket for colder spring and fall days when a jacket is needed, but not a heavy winter coat. The color changing pattern that appears when the jacket is wet is fun, too.

There are several bright primary colors available, but there are also some pastel colors available.

If your kids are like mine, they love their boots. My boys practically live in their rain boots year round. They love how easy it is to pull them on and off by themselves. And wearing boots means they are always ready for their next adventure 🙂 Over the years, we’ve had a number of rain boots from Oaki. They have super cute designs in a wide variety of sizes.
We’ve also used their neoprene snow/rain boots. My son likes the added warmth that these boots provide over regular rain boots.
We live in an area that gets a lot of rain, which means wet shoes and boots. A boot dryer like the Peet Dryer makes sure your boots and shoes are dry and ready to wear. They also sell a 4 shoe version if you need to dry more shoes at one time.
An RV GPS can help you avoid low bridges, steep grades, and other hazards that aren’t a problem for smaller vehicles. These aren’t noted on regular GPS units, so you need to find a way to make sure your route is safe.
We’ve also found the AllStays Camp & RV app to be super helpful when traveling. You can set the filters to show low clearance bridges, covered bridges, and steep grades. You can also easily find truck stops, dump stations, and campgrounds. If you don’t want to spend the money on a GPS unit, this $10 app is a much more affordable option.

While we use GPS and apps on road trips, we still bring a good old paper atlas with us. I find it easier to get the big picture of where we’re going, but it’s also helpful for finding interesting spots to stop and explore. An atlas is a great backup if your GPS isn’t working or you have no cell signal.
We like the power bank we use for my husband’s CPAP, but it’s not small enough to fit in a pocket. This portable charger is pocket size, has a rugged case with a carabiner, a flashlight, and can recharge using solar energy.

This may be a bit of a cliche, but Instant Pots really are great. We’ve had one for years and we love it. They are super convenient for cooking meals while you are out adventuring so you have your meal ready when you return.
Much as we love our Instant Pot, I think I might be swayed to buy this Ninja Foodie. It does most of the same things as the Instant Pot, but it can also air fry foods for a crispy finish. I love the ease of cooking a whole chicken in my Instant Pot, but if I want to crisp up the skin, I have to move it to the oven. The Ninja Foodie eliminates that step. If you have a larger family, or just like to cook in bulk and store meals in the freezer for later, there’s a larger version available: the Ninja Foodie XL.I found these Luci inflatable solar lights from Mpowerd years ago, and we still use the original two lights that I bought back then. They easily charge with the solar panels on top, inflating them spreads the light, and deflating them makes them easy to pack and carry without taking up much space.
If you’re looking for a way to add variety to your outdoor adventures, this Go Find It game can help out. Each card has something to look for, encouraging children and adults to be attentive to their surroundings. Easy to use on both short and long hikes, and perfect when you need to distract tired little ones.
We’ve started using more games as we homeschool our kiddos and the game of Wildcraft! promises to help all of us learn how to use the plants around us in various situations. I’m terrible at plant identification, and this is a painless way to learn more.
Speaking of painless ways to learn more about plants, this Flower Families game is a way to learn about flowers. It’s a matching game where you match each flower with the family it belongs to.

I love the style of vintage National Parks posters, and this oversize National Parks poster art of the WPA 2020 calendar is a great way to display those posters. I may just cut the pictures out and frame them, rather than using it as a calendar 🙂
Or buy this set of 4 unframed National Parks prints to frame and give as a gift.If someone on your list is looking for a way to track which National Parks they’ve visited, this US National Park scratch-off map can help them. Each park is marked on the map and can easily be scratched off to show a bit of the scenery associated with that park.
